You can return the alarm clock where you got it, since it was so recent and let them know they sold you a malfunctioning product.

I had one when I was a child and mine worked for a while. If yours quit working immediately, you should return it at the store and getting a replacement.

I bought my sister one of these and it has been working for 3 years. Many alarm clocks have a lifetime warranty. You may be able to return it.
