It is possible that he is diseased but remember that turtles, like all reptiles have very slow metabolisms. Because they are cold blooded they have much lower food needs and may only eat once a week.

Yes, a sudden change in appetite is often the result of serious illness, you need to take your turtle to a reptile vet. If you have recently changed foods try going back to the old food, he could just be fussy.

It is more likely that your turtle is living in an environment not conducive to its health if it is not eating. You should try adjusting the temperature of the tank, perhaps getting a larger tank, or making sure the water in the tank is not too acidic or basic.

yes, better to consult a doctor, he may not have disease now but if he not eating, health will be redusing day by day. he may have some small problem with his mouth, tongue, food pipe, or in his stomach. take care of him.... he will be alright soon..!

His "dis-ease" is being in captivity. It is not in a turtles nature to sit in a glass cube 24/7.. if you love your turtle,,set him free to forage and roam for his food. that is his nature
