It all depends on what Windows System you want to transfer from but if you copy the Favorites folder from the following path C:\Documents and Settings\your username then transfer it onto the XP machine using a USB stick, you should be able to replace the exsisting Favorites folder with the one from your old machine

When you get to the Export Favorites Destination, click the Browse button nad navigate to the Desktop. After clicking the Browse button, you get a dialog box, using the drop down arrow next to the space where it says, Save In, that's where you want the Desktop to be.

Well this can be very tricky you can always just save your favorites. Copy and select all favorites onto a word document and then mail them to yourself and then have them exported into your XP document. That is the only real way I know how to do it. It works.

From Windows to Windows XP? You mean from your old pc (with windows) to xp? One advance idea is taking the old hard disc and using a hard disc case (not external disc) to transfer your data. an easier way is using a dual usb cable.

The easiest way to transfer favorites is the locate them in My Computer>documents and settings>[users name's] documents. From here you can save all of them to an external hard drive, USB drive, or CD and replacing them once you install Windows XP.
