I have no clue how to help you troubleshoot your brake switch wiring on your bike without knowing what type of motorcycle you have. Just like with a car knowing the make, model, year, engine and other facts about the machine should be know in order to give effective advice.

Check the charge on your battery (7. 5 volts), check all grounds including turn signals and inside sockets for damage or corrosion, test power and wiring from motorcycle brake switch, check wires for rust and damage. Infno charge, volts or power check the rectifier which is a common cause.

If you don't have an electric meter purchase one which will help you check all the stuff that MablesTime told you :-)  add a comment

You should have received a book with your motorcycle which will have a troubleshooting section. If you don't have the book call the manufacturer for a copy. They will also be more than likely help you out during the call with the advice that you need to do this.
