Can you help me troubleshoot my evinrude outboard motor, throttle and friction switches?

if the boat is an older one,the motor may be older also. sometimes the switches will get water in them. water causes the switches to rust and not work properly. it may not even be the switch or the throttle, it may be the computer on the engine. have the engine checked.

The evinrude outboard motor is prone to problems if not well maintained my suggestion is to disassemble the throttle and friction switches and check all the connections and clean them.
