They are pretty good if you travel a lot.Most portable dvds nowdays are pretty small and compact, tough at the same time.You can pretty much hook them up to your TV or computer and put the dvd inside and do the work.I personally own a sony which is pretty good, fell a few times still working.

yes, portable dvd players are very good and effitient the best brand to get is usually a sony especially when you nwant good sound

Do you mean players? If your looking for a cheap buy - Coby portable dvd player w/7" screen. If your looking for a bit bigger screen and good quality Sony DVP-Fx950 9" screen. If you looking for something that's in the middle of the 2, Philips 7 Portable Dvd Player (pet741).

Depending on what you are looking for in a portable DVD player, you have a ton of options at your disposal. Companies like Sony and Toshiba are well known for creating a quality product. The long and short is that you get what you pay for; cheaply made DVD players will behave as though they were cheaply made.
