Children can play matching game to match the terms used in the history of Valentines Day snd why we celebrate it. They can do secret admirer game.

Have the students cut out traced hearts and paste some writing paper in the middle. Then they could write a few short sentences. The sentences would start with I love my school because. . .If writing is a chore, they could compose their sentences on a computer. They could decorate with sparkles and stickers and hang them in the classroom.

When I was in middle school I always enjoyed making and trading Valentine's cards with everyone in class. No one gets left out and it's a positive way to spend the day.
