Yes you can give Clavamox to Maltese but you must be specific about the dosage. As per the veterinarian : 62. 5 mg per pound of body weight for dogs. It could be given for 7 days with each day dosage is 2 times i. e. ,one dose in 12 hours. If the infection is high I suggest you to visit a veterinarian.

Clavamox is tolerated in most breeds. The human Rx is not tolerated as well as the canine Rx, should be given with food and proper dosage to avoid side effects.

Clavamox is a common antibiotic used to treat ear and other infections in dogs all the time, and a Maltese would be no different. Vets have given Clavamox to Maltese in the past. If you're still unsure of this, then by all means... you can give your vet a call and ask.

Never give your dog anything unless your Vet specifically tells you to give it to your dog. Some medications are okay for dogs but can kill them when they are not given in the proper doses.
