Do not give strong laxatives a baby. There are pediatric laxative drops available at the pharmacy over the counter that are safe to give young children. Or feed her oatmeal, a natural laxative.

Hi, I am a 27 year old mother of 3, and I have tried this method before. I found that usually the dark syrup works better than the clear version.

No. Usually, the Doctors used to priscribe Karo Syrup to a baby who is suffering from constipation. But it depends on the age of the baby. If the baby is having an age of breastfeeding, then we should dilute the dark syrup with a certain amount of water and sugar. Then there is no chance of worry the concentration.
