You will have to purchase a special water proof case for your digital camera. There is a full range of products available, maxing out around a few hundred dollars.
Waterproof digital cameras are available. Cannon, Olympus and Pentax all make nice waterproof digital cameras. The Olympus Tough 8010 may be the best buy.
