You cannot get arthritis in your ribs, because they are not joints. Arthritis, in it's most basic definition, is an inflammation of a joint. You can get Osteoperosis in your ribs, which is the chronic depletion of calcium from bone mass. This can cause them to become brittle, causing them to break easily.

As ribs are not technically joints, they don't get classic arthritis. However, as they do have cartilage and bone, they are susceptible to other inflammatory problems such as costochondritis.

You can't get arthritis in your ribs. They aren't joints, just bones. If you have pain in your ribs and it persists, you should see a doctor immediately.

The ribs due make connections with other bones forming joints. You can get degenerative changes in the ribs but arthritis is not very common in this location.
