Can you get any money back after booking a round trip ticket and not taking the second leg?

My plans changed.

It depends on the airlines. Most airlines will not offer any refunds on a ticket although they may allow you to change the date of travel with a fee.

That depends entirely upon your airline. If you are flying Southwest you can bank your travel funds until the next time you need to fly, the funds are completely transferable if you use them within the next year. Many other airlines are not so accommodating, the best thing to do is call customer service and see what they can do.

Usually you can't, but if you call them ahead of time and have good negotiating skills, you might get to pay the price of the single trip ticket.
