Usually yes, if you contact the manufacturer of the laptop, depending on whether or not the product is still under warranty they may provide a free replacement. Laptops are not easy to open up and replace parts however, so it's best to have a reputable tech do the replacement procedure. Stores like best-buy and such usually have tech service.

Technically you probably could. But if you have to ask the question i would recommend against it, since it is very easy to damage your machine in the process or end up with a lot of parts of which you don't know where they are supposed to go.
