Definitely. Since smoking can affect the lungs significantly, this means it can also affect one's singing voice. Most people when they smoke will suffer from reduced lung capacity (a very small handful seem to have a better capacity), and also run the risk of forming bad coughs among other things.
I started smoking at 12 years old and I am now 22. I currently smoke 10 to 20 a day.I am a trained singer but I haven't sung since I was 17/18. My voice deteriorated from about 16. Would I be able to sing again if I stopped smoking? add a comment
