Can pull-ups help your shoulders?

Not really. Pull-ups target your lats (upper back). They also work out the biceps and middle back, but not so much the shoulders. Military press works your shoulders, arnold presses, lateral raises, things of that matter.

Yes, pull ups are a great upper body workout that will work most of your upper body including your shoulders. One way to maximize your shoulders when doing pull-ups is to take a wider grip so that you are putting more stress on your shoulders, thus giving you a better shoulder work-out.

It will help you gain muscle in your shoulder area and make it more flexible in your shoulders. But if your talking about your joints then no, it won't help and may make your shoulders hurt after a while. But the pros of pull ups outweigh the cons by a lot.
