I have a dog that will go straight to the garden and pick her own zucchini. Actually, zucchini is good for dogs. I would remove some of the rind first. It is a good treat for them, or if your dog is overweight, substitute some steamed zucchini for their regular meal.

My four dogs love zucchini! I cut it up to use it in a recipe and end up feeding them to my furry balls of joy. Leaving a few for myself. ;)

I gave my dog a small zucchini today as she was curious about it. She nibbled at first then finished it off! She has always loved carrots, peas, bananas. broccoli and apples.

Dogs are omnivores, and can eat almost anything without having any problems. While there are a few exceptions to this, zucchini is not one of them. Dogs generally do not like the taste or consistency of vegetables, however. Thus, although it won't harm him, your dog may refuse to eat zucchini.

Zucchini is a great way to get your dog to eat vegetables! Grate the zucchini into the dog's food or feed it in chunks.

My dogs love their veggies especially baked pumpkin, sweet potato and carrot, my oldest dog has cancer and has been having chemo every 3 weeks, his white cell count was low one week so I gave him the above and it sky rocketed and he was able to have chemo.  add a comment

I have also read that garlic is toxic to dogs, but some very conscientious treat makers (like Zuke's) use garlic sometimes. I don't think they would be trying to "hurt their dogs."  add a comment

Garlic is NOT bad for dogs. Talk to a holistic vet. Garlic in small amounts is immune boosting. I've studied dog nutrition internationally for 10+ years. Onions, grapes, tomatoes, pasta, wheat, corn, soy.. those are no no's! Look at your dog food and see if it has any of those.  add a comment

Dogs bodies are not designed to digest grains. No wheat, corn or soy! These are the 3 most common allergens in dogs. Also 3 most popular fillers in junk dog food - if yours has them, get a new, human grade, grain free food yesterday!  add a comment
