All seeds in general should be kept away from infants. Feed them vegetables and healthy foods, stay away from seeds and nuts if possible as a chocking hazard could happen.

Babies are not equipped to process lots of different foods. Things like peanut butter or chocolate fed to a child too soon can result in an allergy when the body is not ready for these things. You will notice that baby food contains no spices, not even salt, in order to keep it simple and pure.

I would not recommend feeding an infant any type of spice or seed without asking the doctor first. There could be allergies that reach fatal levels and the doctor needs to make that decision.

Infants under 6 months of age should not be given any food, other than breastmilk or formula. Their digestive systems are not yet developed enough to handle other types of food.

Infant human beings need and should have human milk or a substititute like formula and don't need anything else for a long time after birth. Save it for older people.
