That would be a smart thing to do for your cat. The Omega-3 fatty acid can help prevent hairballs, fight skin problems, supports joints, heart, brain and eyes. The suggested dosage is 1/4 teaspoon daily, which can be drizzled or stirred into the cats food. It provides natural vitamins A and D, DHA and EPA.

Cod liver oil is high in vitamins, however it is dangerous because it contains high levels of vitamin A. This vitamin builds up in fatty tissue and can become toxic over time. It is best not to add cod liver oil to your cat's food unless recommended by a vet.

Cod liver oil can provide your cat with many benefits, such as healthier skin, bones, and muscles, and can even help your cat's immune system. However, consult a veterinarian first, because of the risk of Vitamin A toxicity. This can happen when the cod liver oil is mixed with a food that is enriched with Vitamin A already.

Yes, just don't add too much. Fish oil can be really good for a cat's skin and coat if it is too dry. It helps add moisture and heals dryness.

No, you can't add Cod Liver oil to your cat's food because it is not advisable to be eaten by cats for their health.
