Can anything be done about an incomplete cervix?

There is a procedure that can be performed by a doctor to treat an incompetent cervix. The procedure is called a cerclage, which is basically stitching that helps to keep the cervix from dilating which could cause premature birth. Bed rest is another treatment for this condition.

Unless the degree to which an incomplete cervix makes becoming and retaining a pregnancy an issue, nothing needs to be done. Surgical intervention, including the suturing of the cervix works.
