Can any microwaves be set up as an OTR (over the range) unit?

Yes, any microwave can be set up to be placed over a range. If the microwave is not designed for this then you will need to purchase and under the range microwave cabinet. It is preferable that the OTR microwave cabinet be made with a vent to allow for cooking ventilation.

No, not all microwaves can be set up this way, that could be dangerous. Please specifically look for a model that is safe for installation above your range hood.

Not all microwaves are designed to be setu up that way. Some of them are too heavy, or need proper ventilation, or the size can obstruct the reach to the range

A microwave for Over the range, must be built to be put in that place you can not make a regular microwave fit unless there is a kit for sale.
