Can a labret piercing cause a loss of gums?

Answer by  justme (111)

The labret pushes up against the gums and over time of moving over the gums can wear them down or make them sore.

A labret piercing can cause some gum deterioration. This is mainly due to the back of the jewelry rubbing on the gums and on the lip.
