Labret piercings heal quicker than most and are relatively safe if kept clean with a sea salt solution that is available at most piercing and tattoo shops. White discharge is normal, it isn't pus, but dying white blood cells.

As with any piercings there are always risks involved. I wouldn't say any piercing is "dangerous" though. The place you go to has alot to do with this. Make sure they use clean new needles to pierce you with. Any dirty or used needles can cause infection which is a major risk of labret piercings.

Labret piercings are no more dangerous then many other standard piercings such as as nose or eyebrow. Make sure that you use an experienced piercer who has been trained in proper sterilization techniques. Educate yourself on how to properly clean and care for your labret piercing.

It can be if you are careless while having it in. Make sure the hoop can not catch on anything around you.

It depends. Do not attempt to do this yourself. See a professional who uses good equipment and follow the after care instructions. I have heard that over time labret piercings can cause gum recession, which would be enough of a deterrent for me personally, but I recommend you talk to the person at the piercing parlor if you're worried.
