You always need to be extremely careful when giving human medications to dog. Check with your vet about possible risks. Using a drug for off label use can be dangerous so use extreme caution.

Yes they can. Just like people some dogs may be over active and need something to calm them down. But why would you want to do that to your dog.

Sure. Adderall is a drug for ADD, and can be taken by a dog just as it can be taken by a human.

I don't think a dog can be on adderall, it sounds like something that would be dangerous! I know that several children have adverse reactions and they can talk and let us know what is wrong, a dog cannot.

Never give an animal prescription drugs that are supposed to be prescribed to humans. There are natural alternatives to calm down or soothe overly hyper dogs, typically smaller breeds. Check online at pet supply stores for an alternative.

I would never do that without asking the vet first alot of those medications can be deadly to animals even though there are some human meds that animals can take there are many more that they cannot and I am sure you love your dog and don't want anything to happen to it.

I have heard that some vets have prescribed adderall for some dogs. I am not a big fan of that drug in that it is an "upper" that is supposed to calm you down and let you concrentrate more. Some dogs are just naturally active. How much does a dog need to concentrate anyways?

Give your dog legal speed????? Are you f***ing serious?? Why would you do that to your animals? I'm sorry your dog is hyper because it loves you and wants your attention...why did you get the dog in the first place?

Not only can a dog not take adderall, but it could prove to be fatal. Please get your dog to a veterinarian or animal hospital right away. They will be able to assist you.

Most vets will prescribe a type of Valium for extremely hyper-active dogs. Adderall wouldn't be used because a dog cannot describe their lack of focus.
