Chocolate melts at about 98.6 degrees. That's why it melts in your pockets so easily. In melting on stove, keep temperature real low.

Chocolate melts at very low temperatures. This is why when chefs and bakers melt chocolate they do so in a double boiler. I think it is around 90 degrees that chocolate starts becoming a liquid. If you doubt this, pick up a piece of chocolate and hold it in your hands, it will begin melting.
