Well trikes can promote a lazier riding style and handle different than a traditional bike. A lot of true bike riders look down on trike because they are bulky and require less skill to ride. The only thing they really protect against is a tip over. If anything the larger size and slower handling is more dangerous.

In a certian way they are. Having three wheels means one more point of contact with the road and provides you with more grip. However, the tilting mechanism used to be able to take corners with three wheel motorcycles has a limitation which makes it more dangerous to hit a corner to fast. furthermore, trikes are not three wheel motorcycles.

no, 3 wheel motorcycles are unsafer then 2 wheel motorcycles as they can tend to tip over, in fact the purchase of a three wheel motorcycle can be illegal
