Temporary hair extensions are generally harmless, if applied properly. The greatest danger comes from using extensions that are too heavy for your hair, or not maintaining them properly.

It depends on if your using synthetic hair or real hair, it depends on hair condition before the extensions were put in, if your hair is healthy, I wouldn't keep in for more than 4-6 weeks without being replaced, I wouldn't do it if your hair is not healthy.

Having had them myself as well as having friends who had them I really didn't find any problems. I loved them and my hair was in no way ruined after it. I would say the only damage that I got was the itching from the actual extensions as well as having to wait and grow my hair out again.
