No, spiders are not insects. To be an insect an arthropod needs to have a body divided into three parts, and six legs. Spiders are classified as arachnids, because they have eight legs. Scorpions are also not insects, but arachnids. Both insects and arachnids are arthropods, which means jointed feet.

Spiders are not insets because they have 8 legs. All insects are suppose to have 6 legs which a spider doesnt.

No, spiders are from the arachnid family. An insect is classified by having six legs. I'm not really sure why the difference is necessary, but that is the official rule of thumb.
