No red beans are not dyed. The skins of the beans are a natural color. The darkness of the color of the skins and the bean flesh depends on the variety. The most common red bean is the kidney bean. however, you can use the bean skins to die other things like clothing.

Yes red beans are dyed most of the times, but some brands in the market is not dyed much and it is edible.
