Plums have a pit like a peach. I do not recommend you eat the plum pit you could cause damage to your teeth. The pit is not a tasty treat like pumpkin seeds are.

Yes, plum seeds are edible. But your body can not digest a plum seed. It will give you some stomach pain or other stomach related problems. The taste of plum seed is also not good. I think it is better to avoid eating plum seed.

Plum seeds are edible seeds, but can be painful to the stomach. After you have eaten the seeds, it will be hard to digest them causing your stomach to become upset.

Plum seeds are edible but they do not have a very good taste to them. Just about every seed in fruit are edible but most are hard and have no flavor and just contain a bitter flavor. But nothing bad will happen if a plum seed is consumed besides a bland taste.

Sort of, you indeed can eat it. The problem would be it coming out the other end, your body cant digest a plum seed. They are also slightly toxic, not at a deadly level but it may give you a upset stomach. I would not think they would taste good either, large seeds are quite bitter.

Plum seeds or pits have a cyanogenic glycocide in them or more commonly known as cyanide. It is not recommended to eat them as it could result in coma and possibly death.

the amount of cyanide is tiny...you'd have to eat more than a pound a day to have a problem with plum pits...  add a comment

Yes, its an old fashoined Italian Christmas treat, you soak the seed in boiling water for a few days and fry them in oil and sugar.

Well some of them are and they aren't that great though. I would avoid eating them. Go for sunflower seeds.

I have plum trees and have eaten 10 seeds in one day. Totally fine maybe they are a cure for something.
