No they are definately not in style with the majority of the world. There are a few segments of society where they are considered acceptable.

Absolutely not! There is never an occasion where a man would need to wear capri pants unless he is at the beach. Even then, there is a certain limit to where to wear them, like actually on the beach as a cover up over tiny speedos. There are no shoes that look good with men's capris except for flip flops.

They're only a fad among young grungy-type guys in their early twenties, you know, the same kind of guys who wear skinny jeans, never wash their hair, and who wear sandals even in the dead of winter! Don't be fooled into thinking this is a new fashionable style--- It's not!

No, men's capri pants are not in style. Guys that wear them tend to look nerdy and weird, whereas they are in style for females although often they are not flattering for girls as well. Sometimes guys try too hard to push the limits of style and they look ridiculous.
