Sure, a criminal record isn't a strict bar against employment. It's merely an obstacle to employment, as many employers may not want to hire an ex-convict. Depending on the crime and where you live, it may not even be relevant to the job. Try and find work in areas that aren't relevant to your conviction, and be honest and upfront.

You might have to deal with some really lousy jobs for a while but misdemeanors are considered less serious than any kind of felony would be. It also may depend on the type of misdemeanor.

Depending on the nature of the misdemeanor some jobs may not be suitable or may off put employers, but you have the right to be employed. There are community rehabilitation schemes in certain areas that aim to help ex-offenders.

Yes, you can find employment with a misdemeanor on your background, but it will be limited. Many corporations and companies run background checks, especially those that deal exclusively with children, money, or confidential information. Some places, though, are not as strict. These would be the places I would start...they may not be the most desirable, but it's a beginning.

A misdemeanor conviction may prevent you from working in some places, but won't matter in many more. The important thing is to be honest about the conviction. Don't hide it.

most employers are only concerned with felonies not with misdemeanors. It may depend on the misdemeanor itself but i would think if its only tickets or even one bad check it would be ok.

The government will never pass a law that involves allowing a citizen with a crime to work without discrimination. The Labor laws are not protecting you from the the hiring process. This is a War Crime! They control the currency and you don't!
