You will not get more benefits for yourself for adopting a child. The child will receive health and social security benefits that are to go to the expenses of the child.

In most cases, you cannot get social security income for an adopted child. The only exception is if the child is legally disabled.

If that is the reason you plan on adopting I suggest you rethink this expedition. I'm hoping you're adopting to give a child a second chance and not just to get more benefits. No, you will not get more Social Security for adopting a child. There are other ways to get help with the child though.
