It will help reduce your general body fat, but you can't 'spot-reduce'. Try doing 4 days of running, 2 days of weight-lifting/muscle work and take one full day off to rest. You'll notice an improvement in your all-over tone and fitness in around 4 weeks, and will lose significant fat in around 8 weeks.

Running 30 minutes a day will certainly help you lose weight around your stomach and legs. Running is a great way to get your heart up, but weight loss can come changing up your routine too. Try running 4 or 5 days a week and taking a brisk walk the other days.

Additional exercise will help burn fat, but you must also watch your diet. There is no way to target which areas will lose fat first.

Yes, but running like any exercise can not target specific body areas where pounds are shed. Weight will be shed over the whole body, including legs and stomach. You can target specific areas where muscle is created. Your legs would increase in muscle via running and as the weight comes off the muscle tone will be begin to show.
