Miniature golf can help you work on your putting. It is about the same as your putter in your regular round of golf. Practicing your short game in an area with a chipping green, putting green and a sand trap next to a green will help your short game much more than miniature golf.

I believe mini-putt golf does help your putting game. Although the quality of the club and surface isn't the same, it helps improve one of the hardest elements of golf.
