Will marijuana use effect the results of a PET Scan, I know caffeine and sugar do?

If you choose to smoke or eat your marijuana before a PET scan it will not effect the scan, however it will be detected in the scan. No matter what, Doctors are not allowed to turn you into the law for pot for any reason. So i say smoke up!

Tetrahydro canabinol (THC) is present in canabis that is, Marijuana THC makes a lot of differences which will show out in the PET scan. Actually In PET scaning, they inject a radio-active glucose and observe the variations in the usage factor. The process is monitored In a three dimensional view.

i just had a pet scan an yes it shows up as a fatty sugar on the scan and the doc asked me if i smoked,he also said it as of no corse for concern as it was normal in people who smoke it.
