Will I be happy with old fashioned push button switches?

Have you been able to find them? The hold back I see is that they could eventually stick like old door bells did in my day. You'll be replacing them.

I have a 100 year old home. We have push button in the hallways. But we rewired all the boxes, because they buttons were attached to old wiring. This made it safer. Restoration Hardware Catalog has many old home hardware.

In some cases, what has been utilized for a long period of time is much more reliable than newer methods of technology. New does not necessarily mean better.
