Dying your hair, may very well relax your perm. The best advice is to cut your hair first, then color - because there is no need to color first when much of the hair will be cut off. Then perm if your style requres a perm. It is not suggested to do it both close together or you might damage.

No dying your hair will not relax your perm. It can break your hair. You should never try to dye and perm your hair at the same time. Your hair might feel loose because of all of the chemical on it but color will not turn your perm hair relaxed.

In my experience, dying didn't relax my perm but it did fry the crap out of it. I wouldn't do the two on the same day. Afterwards, my hair was so fried that you couldnt even get it wet under the faucet. It was like a sponge. Terrible. Good Luck.

Depending on the type of hair dye you use it could relax your perm, or make your hair more brighter than what you want it to be when you dye it. Use a semi-permanent dye that does not contain peroxide and your perm and hair should not be effected much.

It depends on what color you are dying your hair, as different colors have different chemicals. It should not relax your perm.

Before you dye your hair, consider the possibility that dying your hair may relax your perm. This is a risk that comes with any chemical treatment. It may cause the perm to go slightly limp but you may not lose all of your curls.
