Will braces and an expander work at the age of 40?

I got braces and a permanent expander two months ago.

If teeth and gums are healthy, then braces will work at many ages. Your orthodontist should have given you a timeframe for the completion of your orthodontia, but two months is far too soon to see real changes. Teeth move slowly and painfully, as you probably know already.

Yes. 100 percent. It doesn't matter your age once you've gotten your adult teeth. The only thing I'd worry about when it comes to age and braces would be breakage.
