It will not prevent employment unless the DUI resulted in someone's death or if the DUI was a repeat offense which resulted in a felony. Otherwise, if your record is clean, there is no problem.

It could if it were a licensed by the state position. Otherwise you could have your record expunged. Most backgrounds are about seven years into the past. You should be good to apply.

It can affect your ability to get certain jobs. A DUI stays on your record for life. Depends on the job your after. Alot of trucking companies won't hire if you have a DUI. Other companies won't hire you if you have a record of any kind. Just depends.
