Why would my Maytag washer be leaking water onto the floor?

There could be several reasons for this. First, the cold and hot water hose couplings may not be attached tightly. The actual hose could have a tear in it, also. Second, there could be a leak inside the washer from the hoses to the water pump. Finally, the washer may be overloaded.

A washer will usually leak if it is to full or has been abused. Maytag has also been known to have washers that have the motor get out of round and spin the drum at a slight angle which eventually leads to damage and can cause the washer to leak onto the ground.

All washers use various flexible tubing to transport water from the faucet through the tub and back out to the exhaust. There are videos available on how to open the machine's shell and find where the leack is coming from. Most appliance stores have specific or generic parts to replace the one that is failing.

My washer did this exact thing a few year back now and we found out that the hose where the dirty water drained out from had a small hole in it. also this same hose has cupplers or washers that secure it and it is always possible one of those has come loose.

It is possible that your washer has a leaky drain hose. Check to make sure that there is not a puncture or anything in the drain hose.

Because you got a Bad seal or you dont got the right dish soap in it. This happened to me before i was puting the rong soap in and the water used to be all over the place. The best way to see if you have a bad seal is to turn it on and just watch it.

because it is broken, there is probably a leak somewhere. you can call the maytag repair man who will repair it for free if you have not gone past the warranty date on your washer. a leak is usually very easy to fix and cheap if you have to pay for a repair.
