Do not run the machine. You can remove the water with cups so it doesn't flood your house, then check the drain hose for a clog. Use a snake or cloths hanger to unclog it.

Well normally if your washer won't drain, then that may mean that you are not waiting long enough. I actually had the same problem with my maytag washer. It takes a bit longer than normal to drain so you have to be patient and wait it out to see good results.

Depending on your Maytag clothes washer model, there are a few possible causes: A loose/slipping drive belt between the eletric motor & the water pump is the most common cause. Usually re-adjusting the idler/tensioner or replacing the drive belt can fix your problem. Other possible causes are: clogged drain hose, manfunctioning clutch/transmission, manfunctioning controller/timer, manfunctioning valve(s).

Well, if its not draining, you have to make sure the wiring is correct. If its an internal problem, contact the store where you bought it from and let them know about the problem. If they won't deal with it, then take it directly to maytag customer service. They should repair it at no cost to you.

Remove all the water, and then remove the agitator. Clean drain cover. You may also need to get underneath the washing machine to remove the drain hose.

Call a certified Maytag repairman. According to Maytag's commercials, these guys are sitting around doing nothing anyway, so will appreciate your call.

First check the drain hose for proper allignment and/or blockage. A common mistake is not having the hose above the water level. Next check the pump.

If your Maytag washer won't drain, first make sure that it still getting power. Then check to make sure the lid switch is operating properly. Then check to see if there are any obstructions to the main pump.
