Why was the MRTP Act considered necessary?

This act was necessary to prevent companies from becoming too large and completely taking over an industry. It allows many smaller companies to compete and the best ones win.

The MRTP Act was necessary to limit the power and potential of monopolies in our economic system to ensure price levels are not set by self serving business.
