Why is the power light blinking on my Subaru?

It seems that this indicates transmission trouble. Look online for guides on how to use the self diagnostic method to find out what the trouble code is. Basically you turn the key on and off a few times and flip switch and watch the light blink.

most times this will mean you got a bad altenator could also mean a voltage regulator is gone a way to test this is start the vechile and remove the red wire from your battery if the motor stalls your altenator is bad if the motor stays running maybe its just a short in the dummy light
