He should first be checked to see if he has an infection in his bladder or kidneys. Male cats, especially if not neutered, tend to spray pee on items to mark their territory or to show dominance. It is also possible that he is experiencing anxiety over being left alone.

Your cat is probably just trying to declare his dominance in the household. If not, then maybe he is mad at you and is experiencing separation anxiety.

Your cat could have a urinary tract infection. These are painful and common in cats, especially altered males. He associates his litter box with the pain, thus making him go elsewhere. It is best to have your vet check him out before it develops into something more serious.

You have answered your own question. Your cat pees on your clothes, because you leave him home alone. Feel luckly that it is only pee and the cat hasn't done something else in your bed. My cat did that in the baby crib when we brought home a new baby.
