The most likely answer is exertion, but there are many other possibilities. Anxiety and indigestion are two of them. You may be experiencing palpitations, "skips" in the heart beat, which can create a sensation of a pounding heart - but these are frequently harmless. If you have this problem often, contact your doctor to make sure everything is OK.

You could be showing signs of stress or anxiety. A racing heartrate is also often caused by food sensitivities, e. g. following caffeine consumption or after eating heavily, particularly with foods which contain an excess of fat or sugar. Always consult a doctor if you become concerned or feel faint or dizzy.

Perhaps it is PAC, or premature atrial contractions, which are erratic heart beats starting in the atria heart chambers. PAC is not serious. If the heart is otherwise healthy, it does not require medical attention. Heart cells misfire, causing the heart to beat before it should. PACs can sometimes be eliminated by exercise, healthy diet and avoiding stress.

Rigorouse activity? ry relaxing and monitoring your heart rate. It may be a seriouse problem such as heart attack. If you are not certain and nervous about it call the hospitol. Excitment and stress will also cause your heart to race or even skip a beat. High blood pressure and heart didease is also possible. Do not ignore this.
