Why is my hamster acting funny?

It sounds like your hamster is pretty sick. When an animal stops eating or drinking for more than a day it needs immediate attention to make sure it doesn't get dehydrated. You should probably take yout hamster to the vet to get it supportive care so it doesn't pass away.

This is a sign of illness. It might be an upper respiratory infection or another serious medical condition. Take him to a qualified EXOTICS vet for a diagnosis and be prepared to handfeed every few hours to keep him alive.

This is serious, he is probably quite ill. Take him to an exotics vet (one with experience with rodents, not a cat/dog vet. ) You might have to handfeed every few hours.

Whenever an animal stops eating and drinking this is not a good sign. If it is old it could be that nature is about to take its course and that it will die soon. But if it is young then you may want to take it to a vet and they may be able to tell you what is happening.
