Why is my engine losing power when going up a hill?

It's spark plugs, spark plug wires or both. To check to see if the wires are arcing take a spray bottle and spray down the areas the wires are in. Turn off the lights and start the car, you have to do this in the dark. You'll see the sparks.

There are several problems which would result in losing power . First is a simple loss of vacuum through a hose near the air intake. This is easily located by spraying a solution of dishliquid and water on a running engine. Next spray around the valve cover if any bubbling is noticed you have a leaking gasket here
