Can you help me troubleshoot my remote control helicopter that loses battery power?

It seems that the battery is already very weak. You need to get new rechargable batteries for your remote and it will fix the problem

The problem lies in the battery. If you left it charging for too long, the battery loses what is called a 'zero point.' You should only charge a battery when it has been significantly drained and take it off the charger after it has been charged, whether you are to use it just after or not.

Most likely the battery is dying. Use a load balance charger to bring each cell in the battery up to the same level - it could be just a single bad cell. If battery is OK, the motor may be shorted.

Unfortunatly, depending on the model of helicopter, this may be close to the normal operating time. Try replacing the battery or having a spare or two on hand as replacements.

Not-all-batteries-are-created-equal, so-first-determine-its-type. Ask-your-local-hobby-store, or look for a label. Use this table: NiCd = Nickel Cadium (Just-charge-and-discharge-completely-a-few-times,should-fix-it) LiPo = Lithium Polymer (You're-screwed, go-buy-another-battery. Be-careful-too, they-are-explosive) NiMh = Nickel Metal Hydride (See-Nickel-Cadium)

It could be a battery issue. If you are using rechargeable batteries then you will need to replace them. Every time you charge up the batteries they slowly lose power.
