Why is my doorbell chime not working after I push in the new push button?

The doorbell may not be hooked up correctly to the electrical. make sure the wires are connected in the right place and you can also make sure the button is not broken

One reason your doorbell chime is not working may be an electrical issue. A wire may have come lose or may be broken. Open the housing of your doorbell and make sure the wires are connected correctly. If they are, check your breaker box. It may be that a fuse has been popped. Good luck!

More than likely the problem is in the wiring. Be sure that the wires attached to the new button are not reversed and that they are securely attached. Your next option is to check back at the actual chime to be sure the wires are attached.
