Why is my chihuahua barking?

Chihuahuas, though small, have lots of energy and need attention. That's why you'll see Stars dressing them up and carrying them around. A continually barking Chihuahua is unhappy, asking for help. It's time for walks and letting them get to know their neighborhood. Spend more time with your pet.

Small dogs bark a lot, I believe that a lot of it is due to protecting what ever the dog loves most and warning off trouble. It gives them a sense of control to ward off danger they may feel. However that is just an oppinion, not a proven fact.
